meet PROOF OF CONCEPT
Proof of Concept is a creative studio founded by women designers in Athens in 2024.
We make jewellery, objects, prints, clothing and other things we like having around.
Some start with a material.
Some with an idea.
Some with an obsession.
Some with something that annoyed us.
We don’t have one particular way of making things. And we’re not trying to find one.
What we do have is a small team, a studio in Athens, and a lot of curiosity about what happens when an idea moves from the mind into our hands.
how we work
SMALL BATCHES
We don’t make huge quantities just to fill shelves and warehouses. Many of our products are made in small batches or made to order.
FAIR PRICING
We believe a product should have a price that respects the person who designs it, the person who makes it, and the materials that go into it.
THOUGHTFUL MATERIALS
We choose our materials with care and try to avoid unnecessary waste wherever we can.
PACKAGING
Our packaging is recyclable and/or biodegradable. Because we don’t really need another bag that will outlive us.
NO FAST EVERYTHING
We’re not interested in constantly making new things just because we can.
We’d rather make things we actually want to exist.

Proof of Concept is part of a bigger attempt to work differently.
We are a small creative team working through collaboration, fair pay and solidarity.
We don’t believe that one product can change the world.
But we do believe it matters who designs it, who makes it, how they are paid, what it is made of, and why it exists in the first place.
So we try to do things as well as we can.
Not perfectly.
Just properly.
